KALLANG LEISURE PARK NOW OPEN!!!

do remember the olden days where there were ice skating centres available in jurong and kallang leisure park? do you remember the times where we easterners have to travel all the way to jurong entertainment centre just for ice-skating? Fear not! the kallang ice world is back and kallang leisure park is now open!

located near the stadium, the kallang leisure park has re opened since beginning december. though many stores are not opened and many outlets are under renovation, it is a good time to visit kallang leisure park as you can have a lot of ice skating space(it is still quite empty unlike fuji ice palace which is sooooo crowded!! >.<), nice bowling and a pretty empty food court" Kou fu". the main attraction i would say, will be the kallang ice world. As it has just begin its operations, the place is really empty in the afternoon and evening.. all ice skaters, noobie and experts alike can safely skate all they want in kallang ice world. If you are not a skater, feel free to visit the bowling alley which is also pretty empty.i am not saying that they wont have business, but i am just saying that this is a good time to enjoy that personal space in the ice skating floor before the crowd hits the area during the official opening and then try skating and dodging 5 other skaters at the same time.

Well, this place is good EXCEPT!!!! there is no ATM in this entire building!!! *faints.. we were so cash strapped today when we realised that there is no ATM in the whole building. So we have to cough up $48 for the ice skating session for 3 and was left with peanuts for dinner. i threw out all my coins and ming took out the only $5 he is left. then the 3 of us have $9 for dinner. It is not that bad since we managed proper meals but we were pretty thirsty as we dont have enough money to get another drink. So whats the moral of the story?? Bring more cash if you intend to spend half a day at Kallang Leisure park!! haha...





Back to the movie of the day, THE GOLDEN COMPASS, a story filled wiht action and excitement.The compass tells the truth and tells the beholder what she wants to know. A story that is liken to NARNIA and fanatsy lovers will love this show.. the not so good thing about the movie is that there is no ending, which means they intend to have a seqial.personally i give 3 stars out of 5. go watch it if you have time.
